Hi, I just got an internship offer to join Ruckus in August. Will that be a good time to join the company? I’m concerned about the culture in Ruckus as CommScope is not doing well. I’m also uncertain if my offer will be rescinded last minute due to the company folding

I don't think you have much choice as a new graduate
"The focus has always been on US because that is where Commscope's home is. The US run everything. Equally, they have people in India because workforce is cheaper there. You can pick up numerous Indian's for the cost of one American."
The cost of living is outrageous in the US - hence the salary difference. It also takes a long time to bring people in India up to speed on the complex technologies while many in the US have worked on the technologies for years and have a much greater depth of understanding of the work. CommScope doesn't care how the work is done though...as long as it's cheap.
If no more choices, nothing hurt to go and found out how company going to fail. Do not expect you will get job offer.
Don’t think an intern’s offer will be rescinded… interns gets paid nothing compared to everyone else in the company.
Ruckus is not the problem, the other companies under CS is the problem.
As an intern you don’t really have anything to lose, unless you have a better offer. You gain experience and take it somewhere else if you want.
Ruckus is probably one of the better business units to get into if you’re going into CommScope. As an intern you shouldn’t have any commitments to company so tryout Ruckus to see for yourself if the culture is right for you
Ruckus is protected from a lot of the core CommScope BS. For example when the rest of CS hiring is almost impossible, Ruckus has dozens of positions open. There is much animosity between people in other CS groups and those in Ruckus.
That is true. The focus has always been on US because that is where Commscope's home is. The US run everything. Equally, they have people in India because workforce is cheaper there. You can pick up numerous Indian's for the cost of one American.
In that respect, it is very backward for a company to take this approach. They're basically shutting the door on global talent. You can take a job there and hang about, hoping something would change but that in itself would be a miracle.
Depends on what dept internship is for and where your based.
As last poster said, most of corporate IT are either now India or US based.
If it's all you have then take it and keep looking. It's bad and yes the company may go under, but you need experience. Internships will be important when you graduate and look for a job.
Rukus has a diversity shift to India, as most of corp IT.
If you are into lots of diversity of 1 sort, rukus could be considered stable.
