Anyone else have a boss here that their ideas are ALWAYS better than yours? Micromanaging? The old guard is crushing the hopes and dreams and younger talented people. 60 and older just needs to retire. Ohhhhh I’m talking bout baaaad management.

Friendship and favoritism didn’t work with the last promotion in Maitland. Nice job BM.Took that ship down quick. Can rebuild with the right leader but never have I seen so much damage done so quickly with such incompetence and lack of engagement from that promotion. Too bad no one listened when communicating this person was all talk no walk. Couldn’t execute a new strategy and hiring decisions are the bottom of the barrel. Putting in the hours and the FaceTime is a requirement of the leadership role in a sales center. Can’t hang in your pjs or your sweats with your kids and your “I have a conflict” at this time. Not fooling anyone anymore. Everyone has your number and not impressed.
When it boils down to it, nothing to do with age. Just the wrong people in the wrong roles whether that person is 22 or 62. I’ve experienced great leadership from every age group and also very poor leadership from every age group. I’m tired of people making their way up the corporate ladder out of favoritism and friendships. Let’s fix that first.
If you look at history, and look at every company that has failed, it has NEVER been from the old guard. They fail when the newer generations think their ideas are better than the old guards. That's just a fact. Companies fail sometimes because of obsolescence, but most of the time because of very poor newer management.
Where are y’all hearing the hammer dropping on “OG” people today?
Given the rumours that the hammer’s about to fall on a number of OG staff today, new ideas might come…but they won’t have any history to help the idea makers learn what worked in the past. It’s never a good idea to fly blind.
Time for the younger people to come up with new ideas and put them successfully in action. That’s how the company will survive. Anyone with tenure and experience is not wanted at the company so give it time they wil be gone. History always repeats with SP.
Another thought- are you actually working and bringing 100 percent and if not. Maybe the micromanagement is just management.
