Did Citi ever have worse leadership than we have now? I can't remember that we did, and I've been here a while.

Citi leadership has changed so much. It’s sad.
All the people who worked so hard to make the environment and culture unlike any other company would be ashamed at how things are being handled. I know layoffs are a part of business and it’s not personal, however I can’t help but feel like there’s better ways to do this. I am sick for my friends and coworkers who did nothing wrong but were let go and everyone that’s still here has the most anxiety and it’s ki-ling the work mood. The greed is so real. Stay strong guys. Be the change you wish to see in this sad world
My manager constantly complained about how clueless her manager was and how his manager was just as clueless. The three of them still work at Citi. The reality is my manager was clueless produced zero work. She just sat in on everyone’s meetings. They let people in my org go but they unfortunately allowed the least productive people to stay.
Please. You mean the leadership that got us here in the first place? We're still dealing with Sandy's mess that nobody since has had the guts to fix.
This is what happens when they think no hard skills or subject knowledge is important and leadership is just about politics. No steps are taken to improve organization. The game is to keep their positions safe and sound. I am sure Jane’s intention was to eliminate this but managers below her and below them will do anything to keep themselves covered. To their seniors they are pretending they are in control but in reality they dig the grave of the bank.
The current leadership is the absolute worst I've ever seen at Citi. They ain't got a clue what they're doing, just making one mess after another. It's like they're blindfolded and stumbling around in the dark, and we're the ones left picking up the pieces. It's a disgrace, someone needs to give 'em a proper earful and set 'em straight, cause right now they're just a bunch of useless tossers running this place into the ground.

If you don’t like the current leadership just leave. Who asked you to stay. It will like this going forward. We are asked to downsize in US and build India teams due to less cost.
