Spend 3+ hrs a day commuting to an office where none of your team is located or your are fired.

LOL .... People really forget how it was pre-covid. Actually even as far back as 2007 my commute in the UK was 2.5hrs ... EACH WAY ....

There wasn't even such thing as working from home

I wish I was part of that cut, I am actively looking to leave.

LOL, I hate my job and think Tan is ruining everything good about this company. Actively interviewing to leave.

But if it helps for you to think that I'm a Hock fan for you to justify holding your belief, then that's fine. You do you bro.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are still waiting for evidence of mass layoffs ...

These were known and expected.

Yes, and some of still need to live with the mind fückery of it all while we execute our plan B.

Seems you at peace being a total dïck, guess you and the Tan man were made for each other.

Spend 3+ hrs a day commuting to an office where none of your team is located or your are fired. In this day and age - that doesn’t qualify as “voluntary”. Sounds like an autistic boomer in charge.

"Massive layoffs! Hundreds impacted! Oh... just the few who knew they were going to be impacted and went along with it. Still, OMG THE SKY IS FALLING EVERYONE IS GETTING LAID OFF (who wanted to be)"

LOL try to keep up. These were known and expected.

That's a massive goalpost shift.

We're talking about involuntary layoffs. You're now saying that voluntary layoffs count.

"RTO or Quit letters are not the same as layoff letters you daft di--o"

People's RTO letters in the US specifically state if you don't RTO, you are being laid off and given severance. They are even given an exit date if they won't RTO.

VMware and BCOM Blind both have layoff notifications posted for this quarter.

Do try to keep up.

It's been two days. Where's the proof?

No one on Blind or here talking about being laid off.

Just yet another sad person who finds value in their life by spreading online FUD. Please, seek help.

Post from TheLayoff.com

How much notice did you get before your updated layoff date? I'm wondering if I'm getting the boot early too. Best of luck to you.

There's no day2 layoffs. Only a small number of transitions and remote workers are impacted.
Vmc is a different story but it's not that big

I was supposed to be laid off in August but they moved up my date. Wish they had given me more notice that my date was getting moved up.

Untrue that it's transition only. SED and VMware Partner teams, and VMC on AWS are on notice period. 'RTO or quit' emails continue monthly. The layoffs will continue until margins improve!

Only transitions.
