Lol, broadcom is not buying IBM.
in one discussion Hock once said that he would love to buy IBM because they are so inefficient that he can extract insane savings and profits. But he also said that IBM is too expensive atm. This private conversation happened a couple years ago. Don't know if he still thinks the same about IBM.
Although I think anti competitive laws will make it impossible due to the potential Mainframe monopoly that would emerge.
