They were almost never enforceable when they were legal.

outside of higher level leadership they have never been worth the paper they are printed on. a non compete has never stopped a smart person from taking a job with a competitor.

Eagerly awaiting the official communication from Dell that Non-Competes are not going to be enforced.

From the FTC ruling: Employers will be required to provide notice to workers other than senior executives who are bound by an existing noncompete that they will not be enforcing any noncompetes against them.

I expect that Dell will find another way to force some kind of restriction on us.
