How real is the consultation process? Does it actually work in reducing redundancies or is it just a formality they have in place?
What will be the end date for those redundant?

I think finance, architecture and tech change. Probably others but not sure which
Which teams are being dropped in UK? No one's telling us s**t in US
Head of Architecture being one of those roles on workday but the whole of the Architecture team is being made redundant now…
But TU just added a half dozen UK roles on Workday?
No volunteers are allowed. Also redundancies have been informed to people in UK. They seemed to have removed people without any thought on their contributions or how much them leaving would impact. It’s quite a sh-t show. People in India are freaked out too by what’s happening. They know they are not equipped to handle everything so suddenly. Not to mention that there is no concept of working hours for them with most of them giving 12 hours or more to produce average quality work. Not a surprise considering they are barely paid to produce actual results.
@Chad99 Yeah 50 roles to be made redundant. Probably just the first round , expect more will be later down the line
There is zero chance they will take volunteers. They didn’t in the US. Some people wanted to go but were told there were no volunteers allowed.
Have you guys in the UK been told that you’re being made redundant?
Anybody have advice as to how to best volunteer? Maybe some who want to leave can use up some of the slots so those of us who want to stay are spared. I know some people who'd volunteer, but they're afraid it would affect a severance package.
Volunteers can help achieve targets. Though seen as a formality, it’s also used to remove less productive or costly employees. End dates vary based on notice periods, packages, and organizational needs.
