Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

For our most recent CEOs, did you receive severance?

Or has Cengage finally gone full Scrooge under private equity?

It largely depends on your role if you were offered severance or not, or if you wanted to take severance but were offered a role you would forfeit your bonus… several really good people are taking severance, it’s really heartbreaking what is happening..

It wasn’t a sales campaign, it was the original MH employee credo when he took over right before or during bankruptcy. Basically just a d-mb way of saying “be more proactive.” Even for corporate-speak it was cringey.

"they are parodying an old Cengage sales campaign: “be your own CEO.”

Yeah those were fun times, eh?

What does CEO stand for if not Chief Executive Officer?

Pearson completely did away with severance not so long ago, would not be surprising if Cengage followed suit.

Greetings,

After reviewing last quarter's report and presentation, Cengage wants to pay off debt and build cash reserves.

Let me be clear: each member of Cenforce is highly valued for their service and has the distinction of knowing that during their tenure, they aided disruption and change, influencing how students learn, and educators teach.

Instead of discussing severance, we should speak of the admirable disruption on campuses in NYC and Boston!

Full Stop!
