Once again continuing with the lies that there are any roles for the layed off to move to when there are 0 available and even the ones they promised have disappeared.

I read on the numerous comments here that the VERP could be extended thru the EOY if one chose to keep working. Trying to find more on this but there was no way to respond directly to the comment regarding this. For me, I contacted HR immediately when I got the VERP Email back in late Feb 2024. It was a hard no... As of April 1, and you do not accept, NADA... and you would "most likely not get a severance or payout of any kind if you got laid off". That turn out to be BS, starting mid-April 2024 the layoffs started. And they did get some kind of a payout. Another thing, we got pay on a bi-monthly basis, but they paid out Severance based on 28 days. We got shortchanged on the payout. and Taxes, Fees, SS, and WA state nonsense deductions gobbled up 34% of your payout. I should have left SAP years ago. This company went from the best I had ever worked for to the worst. Curious to know the exact demographics of who was laid off and verp'ed (Which was those 59YO or older). The unfortunate thing is those who were under 62 could not get SS or Medicare. In declining job market. CK is anti-employee.
On the record, the gloom and doom is not just in Germany
Very evident from my NA colleagues
@jiw+1sbEkS2Q Can‘t confirm this. In Germany people leaving are not replaced, and the general mood is one of feeling unwanted. Management seems happy about each one leaving. Zero appreciation. Gloom and doom mood everywhere.
No matter whether people are directly affected or not, everyone loses.
If the world was fair, CK would have a lot to answer for. But that won’t happen, as we all know.
Most of the re-assignments were in the new board area to CS&D, the rest of the new roles are in cheaper zones like in Romania, or Poland. There as been zero learnings, this has been an exercise to simply lay off people...
I see hundreds of job offers everywhere in Europe (except France, don't know why) especially in Germany where all the strategic new roles are open. To me it seems they want to re-centralize the key positions there.
Thanks gall of this man to keep trotting out this lie about people being "reskilled" or "reassigned" is frankly infuriating. It's callous and pathetic.
There are no roles. Do not believe what your managers have told many people that they "have requested a new role" or are "in the process of approving more headcount". They have all been told to feed this BS to staff so that they are walked calmly into the gas chambers without resisting.
Fight HR and SAP legal at every stage of this redundancy process. Do not respond to emails or calls immediately. Delay everything. The longer you drag the process, even an extra day or week... It's another week to keep getting paid while you apply for jobs elsewhere. Stick together. Do not give SAP and easy job as they destroy your career, and life.
