Does anyone know what’s going on with the second ransom demand? Apparently UHC was given an April 19th deadline or the hackers would start posting member data on the dark web. I wonder if that’s why Witty blew off the Congressional hearing.

He blew off the hearing because he didn't want to be getting attacked from all sides. With direct testimony as the main speaker, while potentially uncomfortable, he gets to try and control the message without having his peers in healthcare contradicting him.

Ironically the first ransoms at $22M the same amount what the top guy AW got paid. Maybe the contract should be revised for C suite on pay back clause. In the event of government bail out, the same pay back to be fair to the tax payers. Accountability accountability big title big $ = accountability!

paying the ransom is stupid since no way to ensure data is not sold. its like a di-k pick on internet once posted its there forever.
Not sure, but I did see something on X from an account called darkweb informer that its still for sale on the dark web, aka, RansomHub. This was as off Apr 16.
