I wonder how transparent MA and the LT will be during the all employee meeting today. Will he announce layoffs? Will he talk about BL and his shenanigans? Are more executive exits coming? Only time will tell!

The big meeting wasn't worth getting to the office early. I didn't get much out of it except that S&ORA is adding value and will remain independent so they will report up to Technology. KD said re-org is not driven by headcount but by efficiency. The only thing they can control for sure is headcount so they think we are a bunch of d-mba$$es. Now we have to go through another 6 months of re-org anxiety while they figure out what to do. I don't believe this company knows how to simplify or make decisions. How hard is it to cut out the deadwood; the useless practices, workflows and procedures that nobody reads out of the system.
here is how to reduce costs - stop wasting a billion a year on the gom spill, fire anyone with DIE in title.
It was a nothing burger. No re-org, no changes. We can all go back to work and deliver on the excellent plan. Let’s gooooo babyyyyy!
another re-org? really?
Top to bottom reorg, except for “the front line.”
Can everyone agree ED was the only leader who was direct and clear?
The big doublespeak takeaways:
- We are not changing the strategy, but we are “refreshing” the strategy.
- We are not planning layoffs, but investors tell us cost is a major challenge that we have to “figure it out.”
- We are too complicated and we are simplifying reporting lines, but we aren’t reorganizing.
That is as clear as mud.
And don’t forget that the stock value hasn’t increased much over the last few years. We aren’t really getting much out of this. A total scam!
I love that the leadership enticed everyone to stay around during the transformation by offering us stock options/rewards, and now we are all afraid we could lose our jobs. And don’t be smug and think you’re safe and that only poor performers could be at risk. It’s not about performance; it’s about saving money and doing what is “best for investors.”
