At least 20 WFR HP stuff across CRV and SD including managers and engineers over the last couple of weeks and more to come on 4/29. OPS and R&D. All blamed on weak Japanese yen.

"The Corvallis site has about 1500-2000 workers. At its peak in the late 1990's it had about 5000+ workers."
I hope Corvallis won't turn into another Boise Campus--sold off with hardly any HP workers there.

"Me, gone. SD. HP for 20+ years. My buddy gone last week. HP for 40 years. He was celebrated in the Enriques's AEM last month. Fcuk you, HP, and the weak yen you rode in on."
Sorry to hear that. Didn't Apple buy the HP campus in SD, and didn't the lease expire in 2023? Perhaps they are closing down the site before Apple moves in.

"45+ at the Corvallis site. Not sure if they are all in PWP but most are."
Can anyone give a rough estimate how many are left in Corvallis or San Diego after the latest rounds of layoffs?

I just got word of a massive layoff at Corvallis. I am out on work furlough so I don't know how many or which departments got hit.
Typical HP way still going strong huh?
Glad I'm not in PWP
