I knew the layoffs weren’t over so I’ve been applying for jobs at other companies. Unfortunately for me… the layoff caught up with me first. I got laid off without anything lined up.

Was it a mass layoff? How many were in your group? We were in last year and group of 249. But I am happy outside with good paying job.
Sorry ya got the boot. Been over a year since they offloaded myself and half my department. But... It's great being out of that pressure cooker. They've been understaffing for years now, and individual workloads were insane!
Go have a drink, take a deep breath, and just give thanks that you were finally showed the exit from the hamster wheel you were on.

They'll sc--w you whatever way they can. Truth be told, they're hoping the scaremongering of further layoffs is enough to make you want to jump ship. Anyone with anything about them would be looking out for other jobs.
When I say scaremongering, we know it is more than that because it is just layoff after layoff. Thing is, nobody knows when it is them.
It is difficult in the sense that the ones who have been around a long time, they're going to cost more to layoff, but then the ones who not been with the company as long, those are also ones most likely to go cos they have less to lose.
