ESG and DEI scores are ebbing away. Studies have shown that companies that focused on those areas first and foremost as a primary reason to exist, suffered tremendous revenue losses. Also to mention the constant struggle of companies steadily morphing and changing company policies on a whim in order to satisfy every single individual.
Quick, change the rules, Bob feels this way about it.
Ooops, change them this way now as Sue likes it better this other way.
Lets have different rules for different people, that’s the ticket.
No one wear yellow shirts anymore, Joe finds it offensive.
Oh no, the safe space closet it full. back and forth, back and forth.
Other companies saw the folly in this and have pulled away. Maybe not 100% but the ESG\DEI drive is not the core reason of existence anymore. In general people buy your stock based off of the potential of revenue returned, they do not buy your stock based off of your political agenda. Money = company survival, simple as that.
