Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

I’m one of those almost hoping to be let go

I became numb at this point. I’ve been through so many rounds of layoffs, changed several companies, have debt, house mortgage, you name it. At this point I stopped caring about what's going to happen. If I ruin my health over all this constant survival cr-p, it will all become just ten times harder than it is now. I hope the rest of you are coping better.

I was also hoping to. Now comes the part where the executives start to try squeeze blood out of a rock and demand more with less. This all leads to micro managing from the top down. Get ready for constant reports and updates about your work. Seriously if you are not actively looking for a job you are just asking to be f’ed. Right now you look better to an employer than someone that got laid off. Don’t count on a servance next time around. They aren’t going to spend another $100 million next cut.

I was caught in the layoffs in 2020. Still work with CCF in the periphery and sad to see so many good people let go time after time. And the ones left are usually products of brown nosing or nepotism. Keep your chins up brothers and sisters. It's only a temporary setback in the grand scheme of things and there are better places to work without living under the constant threat of an advocate investor group turning your life upside down to make a buck.

As someone who was laid off yesterday, I was numb for a while. The stress of survival mode definitely took its toll on me. I can only hope to bounce back as I know I am not healthy right now. I am relieved I don’t have to pretend to respect my two faced snake of a manager or that I liked my joke of a job. It felt embarrassing to work for Crown and it feels embarrassing to be laid off. I am proud to be someone who stayed my true authentic self to the end and didn’t su-k up to anyone. I know that’s why I’m here now.
