RTO NOT EQUAL. SOME REMOTE ON TEAM OTHERS ARE FORCED IN. MAKE ME UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS FAIR!

Flexibility with accountability / manager discretion is how it should be done. Encourage people to utilize office space for what it’s good for but nothing set in stone across the board. Clear expectations on results. High availability when remote. (No going missing for 3 or 4 hours). Office work will be the exception in the future IMO.
@2vdo+1sXqFhGr - How about you STOP coming on this site then you don’t have to worry about who is whining. FOH! Problem solved A$@wipe 😊🥳
Another security incident today in Atlanta SMH told to avoid the food court out of abundance of caution due to police activity.
Hoping the execs think about this the next time they are about to scoff at employees asking if their parking can be covered. How are the in office teammates being compensated for their time/flexibility given up and their contributions to culture, collaboration, mentoring, etc? 30% of my department is remote and I love that for them, but would also like to be fairly compensated for my time and contributions.
Here’s an idea: STOP WHINING. This garbage is so tiresome.
The WSJ is owned by Rupert Murdoch anyone that believes articles from them saying that municipalities are not requiring certain occupancy rates to obtain tax breaks is deluded.
Not to mention that although Truist isn't heavily invested in CRE other banks are and if they start to fail all financial institutions will take a hit.
Are occupancy requirements really a driver for RTO? Fortune or WSJ had an article a while back that kind of debunked this. Just hard to believe that local governments are asking companies for office attendance figures. Leased space and headcount, sure, but actual badge swipe data? Just seems unlikely.
If Truist really gets incentives for office attendance, that’s even more reason for in office teammates to be compensated more than remote. Mostly joking but not totally
Why? Because some managers treat their teammates like adults.
Why would anyone want to come in the downtown Atlanta office with the lockdown today because of a shooting and the water issue last month GTHOH!
You can't make AVP if you don't come into the office.
If enough of us don’t go in, they won’t do anything. Don’t let the downvoting gaslighters trick you.
I’m not going in.
What if we all just don't go in? What are they going to do?
If my boss is reading this I didn’t post this.
If the big wigs had been forthright about building occupancy requirements due to their lack of forethought with corporate leases as a primary RTO driver rather than pushing this collaboration bs, it would still be a tough pill to swallow, but would be better than this manipulation by those in authority.
I don’t know if it’s sustainable without tilting the scale somehow. Like putting fully remote teammates on the lower Geo code (community salary range) and upping the salaries for in person teammates. It’s already hard to recruit in Atlanta with the 4 day requirement, candidates are now saying “ok sure, I can do in person but my salary requirement for that is 10% higher than what I initially had in mind.”
It was pretty common for people to only come in 3 days a week pre-pandemic at a lot of companies. The shift to 4 means the target offer amounts are no longer competitive. For positions listed as fully remote there are hundreds of applications received in one day. Total opposite for roles with the 3 or 4 day requirement
You have to go back.
Life isn’t fair, didn’t your parents tell you?
It’s not.
