Heard in a previous post there will be a large 7/18 layoff. Anyone know which departments will be affected?

Clinical ee’s at Optum are invited to a meeting 7/18 titled “State of Enterprise Clinic Operations” and we’ve been told we must attend the meeting from home. We are not allowed to be in the office for the meeting. Ominous.
Im going with 6/13 and 7/11 for the layoff dates. 6/13 will be smaller in proportion to 7/11. 7/11 will be significant, and likely the last large layoff fro 2024.
7/18=Layoffs are typically third Thursday of the month, about 3 months after the last round (April 18)
Enterprise Imaging is up next.
If they follow their pattern, it’s 7/11 or 7/25. You can say any non payday Thurs in any month and eventually you’ll be right.
CHAs will be included in the layoff list.
6/20 is a payday week so I doubt there will be layoffs that week.
If you heard layoff on 7/18, why you did not get the rest? Which business segments? This is a big company.
Any cuts to Landmark?
I heard that 6/20 is gonna be light and that 6/27 is going to be the heaviest with numbers. Multiple segments across the board impacted by this. It was also advised that those selected could have MAP scores of even 3+ to cut more dead weight so a more efficient restructuring can take place in 2025 with whole segments combining.
The rumor is July layoffs will occur this month, so either 6/13, 6/20, or 6/27. Has anyone else heard this?
How did you know your layoff was this Thursday? I'm feeling the same way you described with the team meetings and dynamics and now wondering if my team will also be impacted.
i’m curious too. any coders?
gqb+1sXUZN6t- wishing you the best! You will do great with your new endeavors . 😊
If you don't mind me asking, what's your position?
My layoff in this Thursday, June 13, 2024. My manager has been quiet and the dynamic in team meetings is different. Other people are taking on the work we do. Ive been told my 1:1s are necessary. I am happy to finally get my get of jail free card.
