Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pastor P Strategy of “All In” on IFS…

“All In” on IFS might’ve worked during times of low interest rates such as Obama/Trump, but not during times of “Bidenomics”… it’s like the ELT is confused about the times we’re living… it’s time to invest in RISC-V, Quantum Computing, and start phasing out x86… and IFS… too little, too late… still no “whale” only losses!

Having foundry service is good strategy on paper. It can help address some capital investment and depreciation in long term.

However, it's very difficult to convince me that we can run foundry business well since we have so many idxxts who are taking these roles

You fail to see the peril that x86 and Intel faces in product design and product sale. Without IFS, Intel will have no opportunity for growth and be stuck in a hyper-competitive environment. ARM moving into client at lower selling prices will put pressure on both Intels pricing, and number of units shipped. The x86 “moat” is gone. Microsoft is puppet-mastering this to drive hardware prices lower, and battery lives longer in order to better compete against Apple.

Yes it requires high capital investments during times at which the interest rates to borrow are so high!!
