Anyone seeing this promoted in their location?

DEI is a scam; just like affirmative action
As a PoC, I see REI being promoted. We love outdoor adventures.
I’ve heard a lot about it, from my 90% male colleagues as a reason as to why and how I am ever promoted or gain awards/recognition as a woman, lots of snide comments. I know not all departments are this way, but mine definitely is.
Otherwise, I see rainbows occasionally on the Schwab. YMMV depending on department and location.
To paraphrase a study I heard quoted on NPR not too long ago, there are two kinds of public companies: 1) Those that talk about diversity, and 2) those who act on DEI. I actually saw this first hand at a startup (well, if ~800 people can still be a startup). They did a great job on DEI, .... then they started talking about it. TDA did not talk too much about it, they mostly just did it. Post Schwab, we started getting more of the talk....
“ Have you seen the people MD and above? It’s whiter than mayo, I don’t think you need to be worried.”
Have you met Raghav? The only thing white about that guy is newly bleached teeth and the lies he tells.
I see REI being promoted.

We laid off our diversity officer, how important do you think DEI is here?
It's promoted at every corporation in America. Some approach it well, others not so well.
Okay grandpa let’s get you back home
