I would argue that If the offer letter contained data based on historical data instead of current data then the OP was lied to, and it's a sign of just how desperate the company is to fill open reqs.

Where I do agree is that the OP likely didn't notice how poorly Intel is doing these days, and it's up to potential candidates to pay closer attention. That's not the companies fault.

I consider myself lucky to have been selected for termination w/severance years ago. The writing was on the wall in bright bold neon colors, and I was tired of being setup for failure by incompetent management. I've no sympathy for anybody working there new or otherwise.

TC has components that are based on earnings. Has Intel been profitable since you started? Your offer letter probably wasn't a complete lie since it was likely based on historical returns. You just failed to notice that Intel drove off a cliff a while ago and is about to impact the bottom of the canyon. If you haven't been here long than having Intel on your resume probably won't hurt too much. Plus leaving quickly shows your prospective employers that you are smart enough to recognize a disaster. Get your resume out there before the market is too flooded with all of the Intel VSPs and soon to be followed by ISPs. Might already be too late.
