Are SW managers with Landmark getting laid off next week?

Do SWMs have a meeting with the chaplain on their calendar? When is the layoff?
Are SWMs being laid off this week or next week? Are medical SWs safe?
As much as I hate to admit this, from the perspective of the "team", everything "Michigan SWM..." said is true. There's definitely value in SW supervision, BUT with the way Optum has diminished the role of medical social worker, supervision is not needed. They are glorified, well-paid case managers. RNs can definitely supervise BSW case managers, and that's essentially all the MSWs are doing. Occasionally, they receive referrals requireing clinical level SW interventions or practice, but those referrals are the exception, not the norm.
Landmark social work staff will need to get used to being managed by a nurse. If they get managed at all. Healthcare is no place for a social worker anymore. In case you hadn’t noticed, the “team” doesn’t respect the position. The “team” gets a chance to move upwards. As they move up, they keep that viewpoint. SW is considered useless. Its pretty ignorant and an excellent sign that shows how much we don’t “care” in healthcare. If low level SW isn’t considered important then it certainly doesn’t need a SWM. Also, social worker licensure doesn’t require supervision. So then, as a SWM what value DO you add? What does a SWM know that their reports don’t? SWM is redundant. If OPtum has posted for a job in your region and you still want to work for them, then apply. And be prepared to work with those you supervised.
If you're a SWM and you are not expecting to be laid off in July, you have not been paying attention to all of the clues given over the past few months. Do you talk with your peers? Have you been attending regional and national SWM meetings and listening to your peers describe in detail their observations?
"We are hearing that they are being laid off and SW’s will be reporting to HSM" hearing from whom?
We are hearing that they are being laid off and SW’s will be reporting to HSM.
But we all agree that it's happening. LTKFC (laughing to keep from crying🥲)
I doubt that swm will be laid off in June given the cc’s have not been retrained and the DCO’s are still in training. I agree that July at the end of a pay period seems more likely.
What makes you think SWMs will be laid off next week? I thought the next round of layoffs weren't happening until July.
What makes you think they are?
