After more than a decade with BD I am hoping my area gets laid off. Leadership is terrible and I am through with BD but after so much time invested I want BD to let me go so I can get unemployment. After the last few years of how BD treats employees I just stopped caring and BD is nothing more than a paycheck to me (and we are under paid so money not even worth it). Anyone else actually want a layoff to just be done with this company too?

Tom Polen and Forlenza are sc-m. Misleading investors, lying about the Alaris pumps , selling their stock before Wall Street found out and paying $175 million in fines. BD,” doing the right thing even when no one is looking”
Been at BD for the past 7 years and they have become worst and worst! i also hope i get layoff! They don't care about their patients or employees! San Diego's leads are leaving,

I spent 22 years at BD in Baltimore. During that time I saw 47 layoffs. I survived the first 46 but 47 was my lucky number. So just wait. It will happen.
What happened in Mebane? BD really doesn't want the all it's divisions knowing about what's going on with other divisions.
All the ones who make Bad Decisions are protected. How can you have a site that has 70+ ethics complaints and continue to point fingers at the employees. The real problem(s) need to be handled before Mebane even has a chance of turning around. There will be more employees leaving before it’s over!

So what’s going on at bd in San Diego. Everyone over there are quiet as mice, have layoffs been announced after the Edward’s acquisition or the new fda tecall
BD turned into an inverted "V" it is so obnoxiously top-heavy. The culture has gone downhill. There is no loyalty to employees any longer. They pulled as many perks that they could get away with. People are being replaced by AI at an enormous rate. And those not being let go due to AI are having their jobs out-sourced out to India. Huge numbers being sent overseas and it shows in the quality and performance - or lack thereof. Management is just covering themselves with no respect or care for anyone under them.
The market isn’t tough unless you’re a boomer looking for another director or higher position or on a work visa. There’s so much opportunity out in NC that any professional will be picked up quickly. BD will drop you in a heartbeat when it’s convenient. Don’t live in fear there are great companies out there that will treat you better. BD is trash, Mebane is trash, and Tom Polen is trash. Fun fact about that operations manager. She’s on a visa and her CI role was being eliminated so she would have to go home. Funny how she was rolled right into another job. However, when she had an opportunity to pay it forward to another work visa employee that was being laid off. She decided to hire externally for a different position and let the guy go. That’s the type of leadership people are referring to in Mebane. It just gets worse the higher you go. Good luck to everyone.

It’s a terrible situation for sure. I’ve never seen it this bad and you are correct, the people who contribute to this culture should be fired ( you all know who you are). Hoped it would get better after JN left but it’s gotten much worse. Blame the worker bees all you want when the real blame lays with a handful of incompetent managers who get their way and are never held accountable for anything. A couple of managers who make operational decisions are wildly under qualified and got where they are by..well we all know how that works. I’m shocked nothing ugly has happened in Mebane.
I did get laid off. Terrible market out there, careful what you wish for. If you are unhappy look for a new job and leave, rather than get the rug pulled out from under you and need to rush to find a job. Unless you don’t need the paycheck or are near retirement, then happy lay off!
It is Company Wide, no matter what segment. Leadership will continue giving themselves raises/bonuses ruining BD and eventually all our jobs will be in India.
Just done with this place. Bad leadership and done have really answer but want things to work better. They really need to layoff all the one’s that made the Bad Decisions that led to Mebane being in the shape it’s in now. But that would be the right thing to do and they never do that…
