Ivan, Edwin, Eugene Townhall

Was anything important said at the Townhall? Is it worth watching?

Why don’t they just give us a percentage already?!

We all know it’s coming and this - oh we’ll give a droplet of info in June. Just wait for the next droplet on July 1st (non-news btw). Oh, tomorrow we’ll give more granularity. More to come in the coming months. It’s all so disrespectful. Just tells us what the cut will be and lay out a plan. It’s not hard and you all get paid millions - just do your job and make it quick. Rip the band-aid off.

Not to mention reorg is not going to change the underlying culture which got us into this mess. The leaders are clearly showing their incompetence. Anyone remember the microsoft org chart with g-ns pointed in all directions (https://www.businessinsider.com/this-org-chart-explains-why-microsofts-ceo-in-waiting-is-suddenly-out-2012-11). That looks like many groups in Shell. If they want to tackle the real problems stop exacerbating them by making people compete for their own jobs or for funding between organizations. Start rewarding collaboration rather than internal competition - learn to play as a team rather than a collection of in-fighting individuals.

Have you ever been to one and thought it was useful? They know how big the cuts will be, but don’t want to say it, so we’re left guessing.

Oh sure, it is always great to hear the VP Exploration say “We have spent more money and found less hydrocarbons than our competitors.”
