Wow, so many incentives for stores to make sales plan this month. Maybe this mad scramble for motivating colleagues to sell wouldn't be necessary if the company hadn't cut the PTG bonus down so far that it is almost worthless. We used to talk about making the bonus at every morning rally, but now that it's worth just 15 cents an hour, our store manager is too ashamed to even mention the mere pittance.
Last year we were able to make up to an extra 50 cents for every hour worked in a quarter and now the most we can make is 15 cents and it only gets paid every six months. In the past, we could have a bad six months and still make bonus for a quarter. The company cut the max payout by 70% for hourly colleagues and reduced the payout frequency. How disappointing, but I hear salaried executive bonuses are looking real good this year.
