Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

Everyone’s on autopilot here

Do you feel that too? It’s like the SVPs and EVPs are all coasting and everyone else is just moving along at a snails pace. No motivation because of the layoffs and lack of care for employees

Agreed, it's nearly impossible to get anything done. People either seem combative or completely disinterested. And the lack of knowledge is stunning. I've spent the last several weeks speaking to leaders in various verticals that either don't know or don't care about the work under their ownership. Or both. Incredibly sad.

Fully agree. My biggest concern was how TU leadership systemically desensitized all the non-GCC employees to recurring mass layoffs and perpetual uncertainty surrounding job security. Moreover, the push towards OneTru felt so rushed and chaotic. Did we really need the massive cloud migration to coincide with the bloodbath of mass layoffs? Chris and Venkat never took a single pay-cut from their $20M payout… but us common folks are expected to smile while this dumpster fire of a cloud migration effects all our routine work and we don’t even know if we will have our jobs next month? Nope. That’s not a fair deal anymore. It was a wonderful ride while it lasted, but I’m gonna look for opportunities outside TU now :)

@wih+1sRPdHEw They're hoping by hiring 10 GCC employees for every 1 American laid off, that the output of those 10 GCC employees even if horrible individually can equal 50% increase in productivity when combined. Basically cut costs and throw more people at the problem. If there's infinite monkeys typing on a typewriter, then sooner or later a novel should appear. EVPs just need to coast by and hope no sh-t hits the fan till they can cash out their stock options.

GCC has no idea what’s happening. They talk like automated machines and can’t communicate anything or understand any priorities. Cost savings will equal failure

It’s hard to be motivated and do any work when we’re having to rely on the incompetent GCC employees

Yep - us at the bottom are doing all the work. Execs get the pay and clients are feeling it and can tell that’s what’s happening
