Helping Out Another Location For A Visit

Just wanting to see if anyone might know.... If I'm getting pulled to another location, am I getting overtime? The store is an hour and a half away and the requested start time is at 8am. So I would leave my store at 6:30am. Start at that location at 8am. Take my hour lunch. Than leave at 2pm to drive back to my store by 3:30pm to end my day. Am I expected to work till 5pm with everyone else? If I do, then I would be going into Overtime If I do. I am not a Manager, just a Captain. So I'm hourly..... thoughts.

@1fsq Not in California. Over 8 hrs in a day is OT in California.

As with most jobs, you only get OT if you go over 40 hours a week (not 8 hours a day).

NOPE!!! You have to leave early! Your not getting paid OVERTIME so you gotta go! If you get backlash, call HR.

You get time and mileage from your home store to the one you are helping. Go to your MBA or AST and turn in your time which includes your travel time as part of your payroll. Your mileage is paid as a cash voucher request.

Don't bother going to your store. Just fill out a time correction & mileage form the next time you are in your own store.
If you live far from the store you are helping let them know that due to traffic/distance you might have to leave earlier...

Unfortunately you wont get paid OT.
