Thread regarding Paychex Inc. layoffs

Can anybody confirm this?

The layoffs are not finished, they will be rolled out in stages spanning across the first two quarters of the fiscal year as well as a mandatory return to office for all work from home staff. If you’re not nearby an office and refuse to relocate you will be terminated. Any sales rep underperforming, start looking for jobs.

Should I be worried about this being true?

Integrity is not in their vocabulary but if I remember correctly (idk didn’t pay attention to the propoganda) that is a “core” value?

This is all gossip and speculation. Welcome to corporate America folks - the business needs to do what is required to maintain profitability and continue to evolve for the future. No job is guaranteed for life.

I know an NSS Supervisor in our building got termed in a 5 min WebEx Teams call with 7 other managers and they all lost access within 15 mins of the meeting

No need to worry, “a mandatory return to office for all work from home staff. If you’re not nearby an office and refuse to relocate you will be terminated” is a total lie.

I have not heard about mandatory RTO, but have no doubt that good 'ol poopy pants Gibson wants everyone back in the office, and may even use that as a way to say "They chose to leave". But I have heard, and feel pretty confident that there are absolutely more coming. So far I have heard that it will be a total of 1500 positions, including the ones last week. But that was only 23 right? what a joke. 23 per hour maybe. as far as I can tell it was more like 200 or more. Market strategy was pushed off for some until September, which is exactly when it was rolling out, and after Q1 when they can see how the quarter comes out. Great for a company with almost 3 Billion in cash.

Haven’t heard from any layoffs for sales (account executive roles). There is a performance memo that was pushed out for underperformers recently. But with sales, this is typical. Not something that would worry me at all.

WE should all be worried. It’s apparent that Paychex doesn’t care about their employees. Here today and gone tomorrow. We don’t even need more details to know we should be worried. There is no communication, no warning, no INTEGRITY.
