Anybody who has paid any attention to how Walmart treated their long-term senior pharmacy staff a few years ago should not be surprised about the relocations and layoffs. Walmart is a corporation that lost its soul long ago. They promote bullies for a reason. If you're surprised by these layoffs and relocations you truly haven't been paying attention.

Some of what the original poster said is true, the part about paying attention. Walmart has no loyalty to their associates. They will cut you in a heartbeat and not even bat an eye.
However in the case of the pharmacists many years ago, all of that was driven by some disturbing trends in internal theft, poor performance and bad attitudes that permeated that area. Simply said, those were bad associates that needed to be cut.
Lots of long terms was DMs and they sc--wed them over with TLs positions with unfriendly hours. So many in our store quit or stepped down to nothing roles. The store just a shell of it's old self with processes and merchandising.
