Is this going to hit Huntsville anytime soon? Are they letting subs go like LM employees working on NG contracts on NG sites? Will people in Huntsville get a 60 day notice too? Some key people are retiring on projects going south so, womdered if that’s why.

It is bad mangement or planning as NOC was hiring like crazy last year and so. With the lost of potential NGI contract; lots of people in LVs were chopped, either related to NGI or not. You were given a WARN and a CN to charge your time from now till Aug 06. You're not suppose to work on any project or charge your time to any CN excepts the given one that correlates to WARN. It was sugar coated that the RIF not become real until after Aug06 if there is no chance to find any job at NOC. As the other person said; NOC should consider furloughs, pay cuts... or volunteer but they chose this way.

Yes, they had a 4-minute Zoom webinar and announced that all affected employees will be notified by close of business today (6/5/24). They should've considered what other prime contractors do - furloughs and pay cuts.

Between Arizona LV and California, 750. 550 WARN, and 200 non-WARN. Today was rough for everyone staying and going. Chandler was hit very hard, some departments 30+% reduction

Yes there will be a layoff this week for Launch Vehicles. It is big enough that there will be a WARN notice which means at minimum 500 people will be impacted. There is a chance that not all those who are notified will be let go after the 60 day notice period if workforce needs change and relocation efforts are successful.

Also, 500 affected seems a bit high, but not impossible.
