8 months is sadly their norm for other external hires. They take forever
I recently interviewed externally and the company made me an offer the follow day. It felt like they wanted me. Exxon's been working this since October, almost eight months now, and my offer remains elusive. I can't say I get the feeling they want me. Or any of us really.
You are a lil late...the game started the day SS showed up at the all-employee meeting and stated "this is not about a sale".
