How many salaried employees are there at John Deere globally? If 15% of the salaried employees is the target, how many people would that be?

That 83000 number includes production workers, who are not included in the 15% salary layoffs
As of April 2024, John Deere employed nearly 83,000 people worldwide, which is an increase from the previous year. This number includes 38,000 employees in the United States.
Rumors have been 15% of engineering getting laid off with a total of 1300-1800 people globally.
So easily $900 million in salaries cut.
So, 15% of that would be between 4,000 and 4,500 people? Is that right?
Thats quite a drastic, and devastating, cut for John Deere if 15% is true.
Thank you.
