What a waste and disappointment. We have a figurehead CIO who is all about layoffs and cuts.
We have a have a yes man for a interim CISO. Gone is the trusting environment that the previous people encouraged. Seems that our interim CISO also plays favorites and has a tried to get 1kosmos in to Staples 3 times and used the incident to succeed. Each time was for another product. The sales person is his friend and talks about how great friends they are. Putting in his pal N from Tampa in charge of things he has no knowledge of which is identity. Plus it seems very odd the interim CISO has reduced the level of diversity in security team again in two layoff rounds.
After a incident we got a bump of budget thanks to the CISO and Interim CIO and now we are at cost cutting so let's see where we end up again and layoffs.
Gone is the good place to work as the office is a ghost town now the old CISO is not around.

The old CISO is an id--t. His only redeeming quality is empathy but at the expense of actual good security. He is just as bad at cronyism by bringing in his vendor buddies. He screed up the CrowdStrike deployment that led to the incident and he sc--wed up at his next gig as well. The day he lasts more than 18 months as CISO is the day he learns to trust the experts and not his inflated ego.
Still miss the old CISO. He was one of the best and kindest people. Always listened, supported and transparent.
I would forget the CIO as he will not take long to leave or forced out by JL based on his record so far!
You all forget how the interim CISO team underneath him before be became the interim was scared of opening up and being honest and now worse. Plus now we have the Tampa CIO/Security Mafia.
Also a big rumor has it that CIO is not planning on moving to Framingham.

Yes the N from Tampa as I will always remember him as is not a security or identity guy. Sadly has none of the teams support and I have heard concern about him from the Ecom team.
This will be a sh-t show.
I know two people who will walk if the interim C get the position as he is just spineless. I will start to look soon as this team and company are drowning.
That is so true. 1Kosmos was pushed to our team for password less and also tried to push something to retail.
Also we are seeing a very demoralising team from security.
