Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I left Boeing recently after 30 yrs. What a sad state Boeing has become.

All the good and experienced people at Boeing left years ago. What is left are large groups of dysfunctional people made up of Yes-men, Backstabbers; many of these people have weak engineering skills, so they try to look good by badmouthing their coworkers. The morale at Boeing has been in the toilet for years.

I didn't trust anything Dave Calhoun ever said and promptly deleted any emails he sent to Boeing employees. When Dave visited Renton for his Dog and Pony show it looked like he could hardly wait to hop on his personal jet and fly back to one of his many houses on the east coast. Dave probably hopped on his private jet soon after his Squawk Box TV interview ended.

The large groups of people hired at Boeing over the last several years, are mostly inexperienced. Almost all of them have zero aerospace experience before coming to Boeing. There is no way this crop of people has the talent or work ethic to see Boeing through to remain and ongoing company.

Over many years and before the 737 Max crashes I had a really hard time signing the yearly Ethics and Code of Conduct knowing Boeing Leadership lacked any ethics that can be measured. At Boeing is has always been profit over safety especially after the McDonnell Douglas merger. Don't ever let the Boeing Leadership including Managers tell you differently.

Compare Boeing to SpaceX. It's like a re--rded child compared to adults.

Boeing always has a reason not to move forward or succeed.

A Boeing CEO said it best: The problem with Boeing is that there are so many people that can tell you no. A matrixed organization, like Boeing , is "None of us is as d-mb as all of us." No single person accountability; always a committee.

Also, 'diversity' isn't about opportunities and a 15 person team doing great work. It is about 1 person carrying the load and 14 unqualified people taking credit and getting in the way.

You are wrong! There still plenty of good employees loyal to this company. You can find them taking extended breaks & lunches on a daily basis. Do the bare minimum work. Fat, lazy, & still probably live in their parent’s basement. They come to work everyday because thats all they know. Life after Boeing would be disastrous, how can they survive on real jobs that actually make them work? If Boeing shuts down, we can foresee a jump up in homelessness in the surrounding areas. Because some of their current employees are that d-mb, won’t survive the real world. Why do you think quality has diminished these past years or decade?..lol… blame it on nepotism I guess. All the moms & dads of the past that brought in their dead end unqualified sons & daughters. Than came the brothers & sisters that brought in their unqualified family & friends…

They are running out anybody on the floor who has certs or relitive experience, social cliques are running the show, a reverse pyramid is what you are looking at, kinda like a top that has lost its momentum and is about to fall.

I agree except I used to read some of mulienburgs and Calhouns emails for a good laugh. Been happy after my VLO, life is so much better not working at boeing
