Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Broadcom outsources sales and operations

Broadcom won't be dealing directly with 90 countries, sales, support outsourced to a dealer. All VMware staff in those countries have been moved to the dealer (MBCOM). Support for that entire region is now on MBCOM, no direct VMware support relationship, all support will be handled by MBCOM.

Dear,
On March 15th MB Com Ltd. (“MBCOM Technologies”), an affiliate of Midis Group, expanded its relationship with Broadcom to cover VMware in Africa, Eastern Europe (except Poland, Czech and Slovakia), CIS and the Middle East (except GCC).
To support this model Broadcom’s VMware team within the territory have transferred to MBCOM Technologies, and will take responsibility for the business across the region from 6th May 2024.The relevant distributor agreements transfer to MBCOM Technologies from this date - partners will subsequently transfer to MBCOM, and be subject to the MBCOM VMware Partner Program.
I understand there have been lots of change over the part 6 months. However, we are making progress and we are as MBcom are looking forward to working with you moving forward.
Attached you will find a Channel Operation Guide to provide you with a little more information and so we can get you registered on the MBcom Partner Portal.
I know you will have numerous questions and will be arranging a call for later this week to go over some additional details and to answer as may questions as we can at this point. We will also be setting up a regular drop in session for all future questions.

Having an existing legal entitiy doesn't mean much. Hock can shut it down, ya know, like he has been doing his entire life? Maybe in some cases it takes a bit longer than others, but he always gets his way.

“ There were fully fledged VMware offices in those territories - hence the employee transfers. This is just short sighted profit extraction. Pi----g your pants to keep warm.”

Yes… but if Broadcom, you know the company that purchased VMware, doesn’t have them…

I mean, if they don’t have legal entities in the country and there is no long term benefit to establishing one… why would they. People seem to forget that we work for a company beholden to shareholders, not employees. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

Someone has to check whether Joker Biden and his son have stake in MBCOM.
