I haven't taken my laptop with me when I left for my annual leave. I just really don't care anymore if. I lost all hope for this company and, if not laid off in the next few weeks, on my return will be looking for a new job anyway. But I'm pretty sure I will be laid off. It's not a matter of "if", but "when"... "Thanking" our management for bringing morale to a below-the-floor level. I simply never thought I'd find myself in such predicament.

this company needs good engineering leaders. We su-k at execution.
Our local renewals team are cooked. Today they talked about how they can bring forward a renewal by 8 months by giving a significant discount. The teams are now just trying to make the numbers work for this quarter and have no qualms if they destroy any future revenue because they know they won't be around.
At least by not taking your laptop on vacation you don't get to hear of all the stupid things happening each day
End of June is approaching and Q2 will be over. Even the New logo team is trying to figure out how to carve out renewals with existing customers to make quota money. CFO is on a mission to cut cost and CEO SM is going to cash out along with the board. That means more cost cutting and layoffs will follow beginning in July 2024. Yeah, Go looking for a new manager within that will bolster your stockholm syndrome that everything will work out....its over get a clue. I'm just hoping that Leadership is held accountable for ruining people's Livelihood at the cost of greed. I am truely surprised someone or group has not made the ELT accountable
Personally not taking your PC with you on your vacation should be the norm, not the exception. That is not "quite quitting".
That said, while getting a new boss may help your passion and effort towards Teradata, the company itself is in a downward spiral due to a lack of strategy, knowledge, and competency in the ELT and SVP ranks.
If you have a long time left on your work career, work towards getting a new place to work that actually values your efforts
You are what they call “quiet quitting.” It basically means you’ve checked out. So take the next step and find a new job at another company.
Hi Friend,
I get it. I think maybe you need a new boss. What would it take to make that happen? I felt the same and then I got a new boss who really helped me to be more successful and that brought back my passion to stay. Look internally for a change.
I left Teradata and found a role at a different company. Everyone around me is amazing and they can't believe how well I'm able to perform. (Managers, co-workers, everyone)
I would have loved to make things happen at Teradata but leadership is a "dead man walking".
You can't win, it doesnt matter how hard you try. ELT only cares about stock options.
Move on, let Teradata go. There's so many better places to work.
