Business does not have to be soulless, and profits can be made with American workers at livable wages if Apollo and the board weren’t so greedy.
I've been gone from Cengage for almost a decade now. Its amazing how "normal" work environments outside of higher ed publishing are. Nice people, common goals, good cultures.
I cant speak for smaller publishers. I'm talking about the Big Three.
Why people choose to work in such an awful place amazes me.
