And it's only getting worse. The few remaining engineers that are still around are heading for greener pastures, whether they have an end date or not.

Actions speak louder than words. You can tell people that they matter and are part of the long term plans all you want. But when your core business strategy, championed by none other than the CEO himself, is to minimize the staff in "costly" markets and maximize staff in the "deep" (hahaha!!!) talent pools of the GCC locales, anyone that's of even medium value is going to flee to another firm where they won't be perpetually looking over their shoulder.

It's not like there's a high amount of upside that non-management staff is enjoying at TU anyway. Yearly performance bonuses haven't even met the baseline the past couple of years. Discretionary 401K contributions have dropped dramatically or disappeared all together. It's high-time to leave the very few who are the only ones reaping any benefits from their "transformation" to their own devices and not be caught with your name tied to TU when the inevitable data breach takes place. These fools will wind up just like Equifax circa 2017. But they won't care because of all the bonuses they got along the way gutting the business and throwing the people that built what they stood on to the wind. Shameless the entire lot of em'.

Anyone who knew how to get anything done is gone. We're stuck with the hacks and clowns in GCC.

Contract? They can hire me back with my original position and not the extra bullsh-t they gave me for 3 years in a row. Give me back my 23 years and oh they gonna pay me and not see a single cent of this severance. He-l most of us survived on no raises at that place.

They rehire a lot of essential people as contractors.

The pain is real. Managers are now being dumped on. When you can't get talent because we're lowballing compensation and not letting people work from where they want, they problems multiply fast.

How soon before they start chopping TU in pieces and start a fire sale?

Not only talent but institutional knowledge. Serves them right imo.
