How long does it take to get severance paid out?

Anyone know how long it's been taking others to get their severance paid out? Broadcom states "within 45 days." Just wondering if people gotten them sooner. Transition employee here... just moved over to HCL.

Severance must be nice. Wasn’t even given an option. Was tagged to go with EUC, not offered, just told. So I’ll get the trans bonus and be forced to work at EUC (at least until something better comes along). Severance would have been sweet.

I was a U.S.-based transition employee who exited a couple months ago. I promptly signed my paperwork and returned my equipment, and received my final payout 2 weeks later. It was a single check that included my severance, my transition bonus, and a cash payout in lieu of my June 1st vest from my June 2023 VMW RSU grant. The check was issued through the normal BC payroll process so taxes were withheld. But since I was no longer a BC employee at that time, there was no 401k withholding. Good luck!

I got mine the next pay cycle, so 2 weeks. Just make sure you have everything signed, laptop returned etc.
They paid out the severance and RSU cash at the same time, also. Didn’t have to wait for the RSU money separately.
