Stick to the grind. Contract work with transunion sounds like a bunch of su-kers. That place was a toxic sesspool bunch of hire ups who didn’t even qualify for there jobs. I was laid off and found a new position and paid 20 k more. They undervalue people. I do less today and make more money. Contract. Gave that place 20 years and I got an email to join a fu--ing call to say your job doesn’t exist anymore. This same company that asks for a two week notice. Chris, venkat, Susan all need to get kicked to the Chicago streets

The current IT job market su-ks ba--s. If in a pinch and the opportunity is there to go back as contractor, by all means, take it. Things should look better after the elections.

@1zii+1sLcmiJ5 job market is pretty bad if its IT. We're having to compete against Google, Meta, Amazon laid off employees for the same jobs that are expecting superstar full-stack engineers. Getting ghosted by recruiters; rejected by Workday job applications that days later are re-posted to LinkedIn.

Some say its all about networking. Others say its all about the first few applicants when a role is published. Maybe do both.

TU's tech operations are now pretty much an Indian driven. Unless you are prepared to deal with all the politics, communications hurdles, and timezone differences, ect. You will only be a small bit player.

I disagree, the job market is NOT that bad, I found a job weeks after being laid off after almost 20 years dedication to TU and I found out TU is underpaying employees... Get out there and look for a job. Look for a job now even if you think your position with TU is safe. TU is the titanic unless you are an offshore Indian GOC resource.... Leave this sinking ship ASAP....

The job market is awful right now and it's easier to find a job when you have a job. I would go back but have a lot of "dentist appointments" (interviews) if you go

Wouldn't touch anything related to TU. I'd advise others to do the same, unless you really have no other choice.

I wish they would offer me contract role while I have another full time offer in hand. I would accept the position and leave them hanging at the very last moment
