Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Top 50 vs. Bottom 150

I walked into a small door, one on the "store closure list." I was embarrassed at the state of the store (no fault to the store team). The store looked as if it was left to die: very little merchandise, major filth(not dirt, but water stains, damaged ceiling tiles, etc.). The few colleagues were lovely, but there were not many to be found. Please put an end to the misery, and fund the big stores that draw the customers. You can't run a profitable store with just 1st. quarter Last Act merchandise.

Would like to eventually see the 150 store closing list like everyone else. You can tell the difference with the better doors for sure. Would like to know the Top 50 doors list although I could probably name half of them

I work in one of those stores and it’s honestly so frustrating. We get negative feedback directly correlated to the state of the story in our surveys, but somehow, it’s spun to make it seem like we didn’t do everything we could to make the customer experience pleasant. We accepted the late return, we adjusted the price to accommodate a coupon for an item that was excluded, we greeted everyone and offered to ship products that weren’t available in store, but that’s not going to make the customer magically forget they’re clearly breathing in moldy air. Get real.
