Layoff vs Redeploy

I'm feeling employees from the Change Healthcare transition that are affected from the cyber attack (outside of their control) may get redeployed. But, other employees from other Optum depts are being let go, so how can CHC employees be redeployed? Any thoughts or confirmations?

Remember folks when Optum buys companies like Diplomat, Briova and acquires employees like with Allina there are salary, raise and bonus commitments and employee retention requirements. If your not part of acquisition or purchase you WILL be be out!

Why would you want to be redeployed and stay only to be “flushed” like a tu-d on the next round?

It was nice to landmark or leave without severance

Yes, redeployed and it’s not what they boast it to be. It’s a walking inferno

If you got zapped its nothing in your control. Its all about being part of the wrong tribe. Eventually they would cull all the change people since they were the acquired entity its just the way the M and A game works.

Has anyone actually been redeployed???

Several Landmark employees within my department were redeployed after the 4/18 RIF. I don't know if the salary was comparable to what they were making before.

I would not count on being redeployed. I have not heard of anyone from the 5/2 RIF being redeployed. Most if not all positions have been filled with existing/internal candidates.

I’m sure in some cases there are exceptions, but I would definitely prepare for the worst.
