Thread regarding Kyndryl layoffs

No standby or Overtime

New directive from bean counters at Kyndryl: no standby or overtime. So folks who were getting oncall allowances wobt get it anymore. Solution is: POD is a “magical” solution, put people in shifts 24x7 thereby eliminating standby. In some areas standby cannot be eliminated: such positions technically will continue to be on call but wont get paid anymore.

Like IBM, KD is a trader's stock, and Kyndryl Holdings is managed like any other hedge fund. Fundamental (funnymental) analysis doesn't work very well for most people, and trades are often based on pure price action. Buy when price is low, and sell when price is high. Hedge funds will often buy and sell the same stock simultaneously just to take advantage of price movements, and KD is no different in this case.

Do not look for any sort of value judgement other than what is immediately obvious. KD has no hidden qualities, nor for that matter does it have any hidden deficiencies. Everything is exposed, and everything is known.

And what about this latest drama with VPN provider? I read a comment on Glassdoor where someone suggested it's gonna be a second Enron scandal. I don't see a connection but yeah, people on Glassdoor sometimes go full crazy, better than here

This company promotes a lot of uncertainty among the rank and file. Would be nice if management was not so secretive all the time. Sad part is you should never trust whispers and rumors. Realistically the whispers and rumors are usually more right then wrong. Kyndryl's management has no problem turning their backs on us.

Kyndryl is becoming another IBM: a company driven by bean counters.

This is a desperate move by kyndryl to cut costs. If they are truly going after the over-time. This will be a problem, usually means that a company is having cash flow problems. I realistically expect Kyndryl to make some kind of hail mary move to save money. Cutting over-time may save you money, but it will cost you productivity. All they are doing is looking for loose change in the seat cushions. I would not be shocked if the hedge funds are messing with our stock value. They manipulate the stock to go up in value, then hedge their bets against it. Something is brewing, there's nothing to justify the rise in Kyndryl stock. This company is losing money because it owes so much money. The whole yippy we almost made a profit, now seems to qualify a company a company to be deemed worthy of a higher stock evaluation.
