of course you waive your right to sue. In consideration of the payment you will release Citi. It’s standard language, so if you plan to sue don’t sign it.
Citi ( or any company) doesn’t have to pay severance. The fact they pay min 12 weeks for people making $100k is generous if you’re there less than 6 years. It’s actually not fair to those who’ve been there longer.

Can you look really close to the fine print and tell us what is says? I’m curious to see if in signing it, you waive your right to sue Citi later on.
How long did you have to wait to get your separation guidance document?
I got the separation guidance document yesterday that said I'll receive the separation agreement for signing within the next several days. Once they have the signed form, I'll receive my severance and unused vacation pay in approximately 2 - 3 pay periods. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
A friend got yesterday.
Just got mine this morning.. May 31
@1hmk+1sKEETtx Fraser and Mason severely under represented the cost of this re-org so they have to space out as much as they can payouts so the stock price can rise.
Any idea why it is purposefully delayed?
They are not backlogged they are purposely delaying payments. I was laid off last year and it took them two months after my non-working ended to pay out my severance.
So, we're now off the payroll and severance packages are backlogged. HR has no idea when severance will be sent out. No money coming in until then. Nice.
I remember Jane talking about Layoff since September. If they are planning on a mass layoff for past 6 to 8 months, why HR process is not planned? why it is not effective and automated?
Is the backlog with agreements and payments?I received my agreement a couple of weeks ago after having to hunt down HR. No idea when it’ll actually be paid. They didn’t sound really confident that I would receive it soon. Absolutely insane, and not a good look.
According to HR ‘As soon as administratively possible’. Bunch of bs! You have to realize that everything within Citi is in chaos mode, and will continue as such in the foreseeable future. HR staff has always underperformed with no accountability, so chances are they’ll do whatever, whenever. I wouldn’t be surprised if attorneys start getting involved. Lame Jane has done so much damage to Citi. Karma will kick in soon enough.
I think Citi tries to forfeit on severance. Did January goers received severance?
This is shameful, but a prime example of how shoddily the bank operates.
I emailed HR last week and they said there’s a backlog (shocking!) and said that the packages should go out in the next few weeks.
