Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

6 quarters of declining revenue

Lowe’s and Home Depot. Both in the same position. Home projects and renovations are on the decline for sure.

What is your opinion on what happens over the next year or 2 at Lowe’s as a result?

Yes I see it. At my position within the company I can see item cost. $9.96 for a box a sc--ws that cost us $2.27, and it is like that almost everwhere in the store. Corporate greed with lofty margins is ki-ling consumer spending. Perhaps it is time to grow a set and start lowering consumer good prices and then people might just start spending again. But no, we will just keep cutting back on payroll instead.

Lowes negative-comped over last year in the latest earnings report. This is not a good time to be in this business. The pressure to produce acceptable results in the stores is only going to increase.

Store level employees are going to be written up and fired after july 4th weekend, after that layoffs if needed to bring payroll to target.

I predict there will be some store closings involving underperforming stores in saturated urban markets.

“ One thing I'm hoping, is the folks who put Marvin and the Marvettes in charge will seek better leadership.”….. not gonna happen.Stock price up during declining revenue ( stock buybacks) equals happy shareholders.

Lowes is up $16.00 per share in the last 6 months & up $20.oo in the last 24 months.
Look at the stock graph.

Right. It’s up. On declining revenue. Makes sense.

FACT. If I had a choice of buying patio furniture or getting groceries. Groceries come first. Biden has destroyed our economy. Lowes leaders are so out of touch with reality. They do not understand that the average customer does not make the same money as those in the ivory tower, Ask them for credit. Customers complain they have too much debt already. America is in serious times.
