So it's Memorial Day weekend but there is no manager to be found...It must be that the one that is here is hiding somewhere and one captain walking around wasting time until closing. Well AP is here, but too caught up in the fragrance dept. yup something got stolen. The employees that actually showed up are the ones running the store. Too bad they don't know what they are doing for lack of training and managers or captains following through with company standards..and you all are wondering why Macy's is failing??? The floor is a hot mess, fragrances are being stolen under AP's eyes, support team is short so merchandise and packages are sitting in the back all there for the employees to pick them up and go home...smh

All our managers except for two that were off were on the floor working today, covering the lazy bumbles who called off today, and handling the nutso customers at AYS all day. Sorry your managers don't work, but ours do.
I've wondered what stores in the South/SW are like in the summer. Bad enuf here in the Midwest with no a/c until 9a. I'd be wearing shorts and they could tell me to go home
I'm not complaining just telling the truth. As a matter of fact, I am one of the few that goes above and beyond at my store and even with these terrible circumstances, I still take pride of my work. I just posted hoping the few managers that are on this site would open their eyes and stop walking around with blinders at their store. You bring up being part of the solution, can you tell me what exactly is the solution?? I say the problem starts at the top. Obviously you need to take your blinders off.
Perhaps instead of wasting time complaining here you can do your part to make a difference. Life is about choices you can choose to be part of the solution or move on and find another job that comes with no issues at all. Bless you!
Memorial day weekend in our store in South Texas it's terrible. The A/C unit is not working and everyone is complaining. The weather down here is over °100 degrees and heat index is around °120 degrees. Everyone is sweating like he-l and customers are complaining left and right. It's terrible and nobody wants to come to work.
You mean to tell me your managers actually came to work on Memorial Day? Our store is almost run exclusively by captains on major holidays (to their credit though, our captains are actually very hardworking and helpful).
