Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Are Physical Therapists safe working here (specifically at NaviHealth)?

Since people are asking, what’s the consensus on PT’s still working in preservice? Will they only keep nurses in these roles?

If they restructure will they keep therapists or will they just use nurses? I keep hearing different arguments about what they plan on doing. They are still hiring therapists at the moment so it doesn’t seem to make sense to let them go.

One fellow's opinion, but I don't think any individual "provider" type role is particularly safe right now.

Not saying that I agree with this, but Finance appears to be trying to max per-role ROI, so for example, a process engineering team needs to show a 5 or 6 or 10x ROI on any new work they undertake. They can't show that, they are on the chopping block.

it's harder to boost ROI on individual providers, and most of the managers aren't very good at justifying their team's work on a good day, and these are not good days.

No one at navihealth is safe. not PTs, nor nurses. OTs and ST, etc. doesn’t matter your discipline in “restructuring”

Apply to the optum PT CM position posted. It was still up as of Friday. I think that will be safer than navi.
