DEX is a cash grab for SP, Staples will not benefit from it.
Assuming the sale of DEX is finalized, that would give Staples more than enough liquidity to cover those upcoming maturities in the fall.
I can't speak to the accuracy of what JH said about the media's reports, but taking both sides with a grain of salt, it's more likely than not that Staples will be able to push those later maturities out until 20 30
The amount of gas lighting on this town hall today was palpable. You can tell they are lying though their teeth. Esp JH.

Next thing will be a complete restructure/ bankruptcy. 2024 was make or break and it is breaking... You can bleed so much year after year until you bleed out. 4-6 months to turn things around.
Is there a sign-up list to be included or can we nominate people? Someone should bring that suggestion the next All Hands meeting.

To the poster who typed these lay off rumors have been going on continuously for the last 5 years...nothing to see here because Staples hasn't laid off people in the last 5 years...correct?

Lets layoff the IT dept. The whole computer system is running so slow and all emails being sent go to the outbox and nothing gets sent..

Purely speculation and fear mongering posts. If you “know” folks will be laid off give more detail. Some of these posts are just like CNN reporting on news.
Pay no attention to the trolling posts and comments. If no details are provided with which departments, it’s not true. This speculation hasn’t stopped for 5 years on a weekly basis.

I heard from HR as well. I’m sorry for the people about to be affected this week. The SLT only cares about EBITA. They don’t care about employees. Only how much money they make with EBITA looking good after layoffs. These fat cows will be millionaires after this move with bonuses. Lederer is the worst human being to ever been born. Sycamore are all evil ba----ds. I’m sorry to deliver this news but being on these calls this past week, no one deserves what’s coming. ESP with this CEO about to drop “another” hammer. I feel guilty not telling you sooner. Take care of yourselves people.
