Ncm, cc,, and np roles are being trained for new duties and role changes. It is highly unlikely that they will be eliminated. They will be centralized and continue as internal uhg/optum employees. It’s everyone else that will need to be ready for a random 15 minute meeting invite.

They're definitely focusing on CC, NCM and providers. SW was told to basically train CC's on resources, which is very concerning. The person saying NCM taking BHCM duties is far fetched,, you're right and wrong. No, they won't do counseling....but they can easily assess and refer patients to level of care (inpatient/ outpatient). Optum has its own in house BH and has bought out refresh MH. They don't really need in house BH for HBMC, and it takes too much time up per patient. They don't want to pay for that.
I can’t see how NCM’s could be expected to do BHCM duties. That sounds a little far fetched.
Rumor is the NCMs at Landmark are going to be absorbing BHCM duties. Stick a fork in me Im done.
They are piling more and more work on NCMs. Buckle up Landmark is gone. All Optum now. Caring for patients is out and checking boxes is in.
The duties shifting for ncms doesn’t mean much. Ccs doing scheduling could be shifted to the corporate scheduling group they just hired or make aprns schedule themselves like they do in other parts of the company. They also did the robocall permission thing in charts so that’s less for CCs to do. Not seeing how anyone is safe at this point.
They’ll lay off a ton of RNs in July they’ve already adjusted the caseloads in ISNP and IESNP in particular
IESNP is a sinking ship
This is not a true statement . More layoffs and terminations to occur. Don't post things you don't know about. People are on edge as it is.
