Scotford

Scotford announced their re-org. No numbers given. Sounds like it might be deep.

It is evident that Shell Scotford are targeting mature employees with pensions & benefits, whether you requested severance or not. The company and especially the HR Dept. have no loyalty to its long standing employees whether they add value or not. A word of caution for those that think otherwise. 'Employees are our most important asset' is a slogan used by weak leadership.

Looks like Shell is going to play even harder ball at Scotford, besides making all it's employees re apply for their own damn jobs. They're also on pace to lock out their Refinery and Chemical operators this summer after they rejected the newest CBA offer. If you need gas in Western north America best stock up, it's going to be a rough summer.

I'd hate to be at this site, between having to re apply for your own job against colleagues, the threat of a pending lockout of operators, worrying about crossing picket lines. That places is going to be hostile for the summer.

it's 168 jobs that are being eliminated. so depending on how you calculate the numbers onsite, it's either just over 10% or closer to 20.

The whole Scotford site has been posted tested. check it out on the internal job board....going to be a high stress levels for the next two months. you have to compete for your job against everyone else who had their own job posted, plus any of the hourly staff who are safe from getting cut.

Don't know if it's actually 25% but the final number is 168 employees losing their jobs with Shell. Thanks Fritz.

very deep, at the supervisory level, looking at just under half of them losing their titles. The org chart that was initially release was half as--s and was missing a fair bit of information and even some roles that weren't but weren't listed.
