I am surprised, especially after the earning call when they said store closures were still on that we have heard nothing. I thought maybe half would close august and the other half starting in October.
Thoughts?

Please don’t worry I have interviews actively going on there is a lot of demand for good store directors.
1bsv+1sGlxxCi, There's nothing stopping you from finding a new job. In fact, better to be employed while you look. If you need to brush up on computer skills, etc use the free stuff Macy's offers or LinkedIn Learning. I had to do so after being laid off from a job in 2008.
I know our store is on the list and I feel like something is coming up on the horizon in the near future based on the way our store manager has been behaving lately. Granted, I understand she isn’t allowed to disclose certain things prematurely, but the way people gossip in this division on account of how they all know each other from working in different locations together, something is bound to come out eventually.
I couldn’t care less about the store (which is in HORRIBLE condition) or the company, but I care a lot about my coworkers and I hope they’ll all be okay regardless of how this turns out.
List does not open?
They said 50 stores this year and then 50 the following year. I don’t think they’re gonna wait till January to start the first 50 just my opinion.
One way or the other, just let everybody know so I can get on with their lives one way the other I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. I wonder how many people are gonna lose that would not have left but since they don’t know if the store is closing, they’re not gonna take a chance it’s Starbucks or In-N-Out Burger or somewhere else at $20 an hour

If you have been told your store is "on the list" then don't expect any closures before January 2025.
Arkhouse & Brigade are still around. They need to go away first.
I agree, it's not fair to leave us all questioning everything daily when we all know the lists are out but only in the hands of specific people on a need to know basis...just give us an accurate time frame to find new jobs already!
